Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Action Item Tracker for Slack (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses,
and protects information when you use the App.
1. Information we collect
We collect and store only the information needed to provide the App’s functionality, such as:
- Workspace & user identifiers (e.g., Slack team ID, user ID) to associate action items with the correct workspace and people.
- Channel identifiers (e.g., channel ID) to scope action items to a channel.
- Action item content such as description, owner, due date, completion status, and timestamps.
- Message references (optional, if enabled): message timestamp (ts) and thread timestamp to link actions back to the original Slack context.
- Billing metadata (if you upgrade): Stripe customer/session identifiers and plan status.
2. How we use information
- To create, display, and manage action items in Slack (App Home, modals, reminders, and manager dashboard).
- To send notifications/reminders and allow marking actions as complete.
- To provide manager functionality (channel-scoped visibility and nudges).
- To operate billing and enforce plan limits.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
3. Slack data
The App interacts with Slack APIs. The App does not sell Slack data. We store minimal data required for functionality.
Slack content is displayed back to users inside Slack.
4. Data retention
We retain action item data for as long as needed to provide the service or until it is deleted (where deletion is supported).
You may request deletion of workspace data by contacting support.
5. Data sharing
We may share data only in these cases:
- Service providers (e.g., hosting/database providers) to run the App.
- Payments via Stripe (billing-related data only).
- Legal if required to comply with law or protect our rights.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. International users
If you access the App from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed in
other jurisdictions.
8. Your choices
- You can remove the App from your Slack workspace at any time.
- You can request access or deletion of your workspace data by contacting support.
